Order of Precedence Entry

Gareth Dalyngrigge was born in 1300, the second son of a minor nobleman who held a few manors as a vassal to the King of England.  With a limited inheritance expected from his father, Gareth was prepared for a life of service in the Church and received an education in letters and the classics.  Things changed after his older brother unexpectedly died.  Now the lord of several small holdings in the county of Sussex, Gareth hopes to increase the social and political status of his family’s name through continuing his good standing with King Edward III - who has shown great promise as a general of armies and leader of nobles in his wars against the Scots, and is now preparing to challenge the Kingdom of France beyond the sea.
